Introducing the Mind Gym. The mind gym has workout programs for everyone, workouts you can do anywhere and anytime. Most workouts are under 15 minutes. Some are only 7 minutes! Whether you are a beginner or an advanced exerciser we have something for you. No need to go anywhere if you don’t want to. If you are feeling anxious or depressed or just have a low mood, jump in and try a quick workout. You’ll feel just that bit better, I promise.
Exercise releases endorphins (the happy hormones) and reduces cortisol (the stress hormone). Exercise as soon as you wake up. If possible, do it before you have time to make excuses. If you exercise first thing, you are more likely to get it done. Exercising as soon as you wake will put you in a positive frame of mind for the day. Just a few minutes will do wonders for your mood. If this is not possible, know that you can choose a time that is manageable and sustainable in your life. Just make sure you move your body in some way every day. Go for a walk in nature, do some yoga, or take a dance class—any activity will help.
Physical movement has an immediate effect on your stress levels. The key is consistency, as you won’t get the full benefits if you only exercise sporadically. Try some workouts here in the Mind Gym. Just start small, five minutes, and if that leads to more movement, that’s great, but know that you only need to take one small step at a time. Do not beat yourself up if you can only manage a few minutes. You’ve got this! X
